I started Maine Clam Cakes in honor of my father (Carl F. Shaw). My memories growing up watching my father crush the crackers, adding the clams along with all the other ingredients to his special recipe then mixing it all together and making them into patties. Then he would fry them up add a little salt to the top of them and let us know when they were ready. He made his last clam cake at 86 years young. One Friday night I said I was making clam cakes in honor of my father and that is how Maine Clam Cakes started. I hope you enjoy them.
